How to become a member

The Austin Chapter of Les Dames d'Escoffier is an active, motivated group of women who raise funds, host educational events, and volunteer their time to support the Austin area community. Our membership application period happens once per year. If you’re interested in joining, please read below for more information. Applications for membership are now closed. They will reopen in July 2024.

Eligibility for Membership:

• At least 5+ years experience in the culinary, hospitality or beverage industry

• Exhibit leadership and excellence in your field

• Be committed to serving our community and volunteering for philanthropic work.

• Submit your application on time.

Please Note: If you received a Les Dames scholarship this year you are not eligible to become a member until 2024.

You will need a bio (50 words or less) to complete the application.

Once approved and inducted into membership, all Austin Dames must comply with the membership requirements. Members are not eligible for our grants or scholarships.

Requirements for all members:

• Pay annual membership dues by Aug 15, 2023. Dues are $225. (This includes dues to our local chapter and international.)

• Sign up for and participate in a committee

• Attend required fall and spring business meetings annually

• Attend one board meeting and one monthly program throughout the year

• Support and attend annual fundraising event

• Devote a minimum of 6 hours towards chapter philanthropic efforts in first year of membership. This includes food runs, holiday meal, green table initiatives, fundraisers and/or recruiting events.
